Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Need To Know How To Swim?

Yes. For safety purposes for yourself and your instructor you need to know how to swim if you plan to attending a SUP outing with us.

What Equipment Is Provided?

All necessary paddleboarding equipment is provided. If you have your own personal flotation device (PFD), we recommend bringing it to ensure the best fit. For children 12 and under, please bring a properly fitted, Coast-Guard approved PFD.

Is There An Age Requirement?

Children must be at least 10 years old to participate in a class on their own board. Participants aged 10-17 must be accompanied by an adult, unless it’s a youth specific class. All participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian sign the waiver.

What Should I Bring?

Wear something comfortable and oaky to get wet. We recommend bringing, a dry change of clothes for after class, a towel, sunscreen, and water bottle. Water shoes that are easy to slip on and off are also a great idea.

A dry bag will be provided for safe keeping of your car keys. Please leave valuable items in your vehicle.

Can I Use My Own Board?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own board. Use “BYOB” at checkout to receive a discount. Please note: When using your own board, you are responsible for bringing all essential items, including a valid PA launch permit.

What Time Should I Arrive?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so you are ready to begin on time - classes start promptly. If you are bringing your own board, be sure to allow extra time to unload and/or inflate your board before the session begins.

Where Do I Meet?

We operate at several different locations, so it’s important to double-check your booking confirmation. The meeting spot is listed right next to the event name - make sure to note it before heading out!

What Happens If It Rains The Day Of My Scheduled Paddle?

Safety is always our top priority. If inclement weather is expected, your guide will decided if cancelation is necessary at least 90 minutes before your scheduled start time. While we don’t offer refunds for weather-related cancelations (since that’s out of our control), you’ll receive a credit equal to your booking amount. This credit never expires and can be used toward any future class, service, or event?

What Is Your Cancelation Policy?

Cancelations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before your scheduled time, you will receive a credit. Credits never expire and can be used towards a future class or event.

Do You Offer Private Events or Group Bookings?
