Island Ecology Paddle
Island Ecology Paddle
Join us in celebration of the 10th Annual Lancaster Water Week for a unique morning on the water! Paddle through a network of small, brushy islands while exploring the rich ecosystem of the Susquehanna River. Along the way, we’ll identify both native and non-native plant species and learn how they impact the health of our local watershed.
Guided by Hannah Andersson of LandStudies, this experience offers an engaging look at the important role vegetation plays in maintaining balanced, thriving waterways. Whether you’re curious about local ecology or just looking for a meaningful way to get outside, this paddle blends education, exploration, and connection to nature.
Location: Washington Boro
Duration: 90 mintues
Rate: $35
Date: June 6
